Gran Turismo Sport Warns of Copyright Violations When Posting Gameplay Videos With Music

The official website for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo Sport PlayStation 4 racing game issued a warning last week for players who intend to post or stream gameplay videos with the game's background music turned on. Because the music is copyrighted, players do not have permission to post or broadcast it, and the company advised that those who intend to post gameplay videos should set their in-game music volume to zero (off).
The companies said they plan to implement a counter-measure via a future update for the game.
Gran Turismo Sport shipped on October 17 in North America, October 18 in Europe, and October 19 in Japan. The game is the latest installment in Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo motorsport game series.
