Resident Evil 7: Biohazard shipped for PS4, Xbox One, PC on Tuesday

CAPCOM producer Masachika Kawata recently told the website Express Online that the company currently has no plans to release Resident Evil titles on the Nintendo Switch platform.

"I think it's a very unique piece of hardware," Kawata said. "I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch."

The Resident Evil 7: biohazard game (seen right) shipped for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide on Tuesday. The game is fully compatible with and playable on Sony's PlayStation VR headset, and it supports 4K on the PlayStation 4 Pro. The survival horror game shipped in Japan under the title Biohazard 7: resident evil on Thursday.

CAPCOM will release its upcoming Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers game for Nintendo Switch. The game is part of CAPCOM's Street Fighter series' 30th anniversary celebration.
