Tokyo Clanpool Game's Video Introduces Job Classes

PS Vita game ships in Japan on October 5

The official Compile Heart YouTube channel began streaming a new introduction video for its Tokyo Clanpool game on Thursday. The video introduces the game's "Deji Skin" mechanic, featuring different costumes that change the characters' job class. All of the heroines can use all of the Deji Skins in the game. Some of the skins include Brave Skin, Magical Skin, Angel Skin, Power Skin, Hacker Skin, Paladin Skin, Guardian Skin, and Dark Knight Skin.

Compile Heart streamed a video last month that previews the game's different bonus extras at different retailers in Japan, and also streamed a video introducing the game's "ether inspiration" mechanic. The mechanic is a "scientific ceremony" that allows players to pour ether into the characters' bodies to unlock special powers.

The game will launch for the PlayStation Vita on October 5. Those who pre-order the game will receive a download code for maid outfits for the four main characters. A limited edition of the game will include a special box, production materials collection, mini soundtrack CD, and bath poster set.

The game is getting a serialized prologue novel in Dengeki PlayStation magazine. Ryo Aso is writing the story and Manamitsu is illustrating the story.

Compile Heart and Kadokawa's Dengeki PlayStation magazine announced in June that they are collaborating to create a new game brand called "Den-Pile," and Tokyo Clanpool will be the brand's first title.

The story takes place in the future in Tokyo, where an upside-down city appears in the sky. Demons flow out of the strange city and destroy Tokyo. The protagonist of the game is Natsume Kannuki (pictured at right), who is the prime minister of Tokyo. She assembles a cabinet of "beautiful girls" to rebuild the city and fight the demons.

The game will feature an original system related to bills and elections. Other features include personification of gadgets and transformations using smartphones.

Makoto Kitano is directing the game and Manamitsu (Megadimension Neptunia VII) is in charge of character design.
