Company streams system trailer for adventure RPG

NIS America announced on Tuesday that it will release Nippon Ichi Software's The Longest Five Minutes (Sekai Ichi Nagai 5-funkan) game in North America on February 13 and in Europe on February 16 for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch. The game will also get a Steam release worldwide on February 13.

The company began streaming a system trailer on Tuesday:

NIS America describes the story:

Our hero faces the origin of all evil, the Overlord himself, but suddenly loses all memories of his adventure. His finishing moves, the name of his hometown, and even the reason he's trying to defeat the Overlord in the first place, all gone. Our hero feels as though he's letting his allies down...

In the midst of battle, his allies' words and the Overlord's taunting triggers flashbacks, bringing his memories back piece by piece. Our hero tries to regain his priceless memories before it's too late, but the Overlord stands before him, his power unyielding!

What can happen in The Longest Five Minutes!?

NIS America announced in July 2016 that it would release the game in English, and then revealed at Anime Expo in July that it would release the game in early 2018 with an additional Switch release. The PS Vita release will be digital only, but the Nintendo Switch release will have a limited edition. The limited edition includes a soundtrack CD with art booklet, a lapel pin set, and collector's box.

Nippon Ichi Software released the adventure role-playing game in Japan on the PS Vita in July 2016.
