The official website for Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majū Sensen Babylonia, the television anime adaptation of the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game's "Dai Nana Tokuiten Zettai Majū Sensen Babylonia" (Order VII: The Absolute Frontline in the War Against the Demonic Beasts: Babylonia) story, began streaming a promotional video on Monday. The video reveals visuals for the characters Gilgamesh and Enkidu.

The television anime will premiere in 2019.

The game is also inspiring a two-part anime film project. Fate/Grand Order Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki Camelot: Wandering: Agateram and Fate/Grand Order Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki Camelot: Paladin: Agateram will adapt the "Dai Roku Tokuiten Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki: Camelot" (Order VI: The Sacred Round Table Realm: Camelot) story from the game.

Aniplex had launched a survey in January to ask about what quest was fans' favorite, and what developments they'd like to see for the franchise. The Babylonia story ranked #1 and the Camelot story ranked #2 for favorite quest, and "TV anime" ranked #1 and "anime film" ranked #2 for the developments question.

The website for the two projects also revealed the main staff. Kinoko Nasu and Type-Moon are credited as original creators of both works.

CloverWorks (DARLING in the FRANXX, PERSONA 5 the Animation) is producing the television anime series, with lead character designer Takashi Takeuchi (Fate anime franchise). Toshifumi Akai (assistant director DARLING in the FRANXX, Porter Robinson's "Shelter" director) is directing the series, with assistant director Miyuki Kuroki (The Idolm@ster SideM director). Tomoaki Takase (Occultic;Nine, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) is the character designer. Keita Haga (Fate/stay night theme song lyrics) and Ryo Kawasaki (Fate/Grand Order: First Order) are composing the music.

Production I.G is producing the film project, with lead character designer Takashi Takeuchi (Fate anime franchise) and composers Keita Haga (Fate/stay night theme song lyrics) and Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works).

A stage play, titled Fate/Grand Order The Stage: Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki Camelot Replica; Agateram (Fate/Grand Order The Stage: Domain of the Holy Round Table Camelot Replica; Agateram), ran in Tokyo in July 2017, and then again in September and October. That play adapted the same Order VI story that the theatrical anime will adapt. A new stage play in January 2019 will adapt the same Order VII story that the television anime will adapt.

Aniplex released the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game in Japan in summer 2015. The game received an English release in the United States and Canada in June 2017.

A 74-minute television anime based on the game titled Fate/Grand Order: First Order aired in Japan in December 2016. Aniplex of America, Crunchyroll, and Daisuki streamed the special the same day. Aniplex of America released the special on Blu-ray Disc in North America last October with Japanese and English audio.

The Fate Project Ōmisoka TV Special (Fate Project New Year's Eve TV Special) aired two new anime shorts titled Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom and Fate/Grand Order x Himuro no Tenchi: 7-nin no Saikyō Ijin-hen for the franchise in January.

The Fate/Grand Order VR feat. Mash Kyrielight PlayStation VR game launched last December. The Fate/Grand Order Arcade game launched on July 26.

Additionally, two manga adaptations, Fate/Grand Order -mortalis:stella- and Fate/Grand Order: Turas Réalta-, launched in July 2017 and August 2017, respectively.
