Heroland Game Launches in N. America on December 3, Gets PC Version

Game gets physical, digital releases for PS4, Switch

XSEED Games announced on Thursday that it will release Furyu Corporation's Heroland (Work x Work) role-playing game in North America on December 3. The company also announced that in addition to the previously announced releases on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, the game will also release on PC (via Steam and the Humble Store by Humble Bundle) on December 3.

Marvelous Games will release the game in Europe for Switch and PS4 this winter.

XSEED Games' Knowble Edition will bundle a drawstring pouch, musical selections CD, theme park-style folded map, and sumo wrestling papercraft for US$49.99. The Knowble Edition will be the only retail version at launch. The game will also get a digital release on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store in addition to the PC release.

XSEED Games describes the story:

Welcome to Heroland—a bright, tropical theme park resort where guests partake in an authentic RPG-styled adventure, exploring dungeons, beating up baddies, and become a legendary hero! Unfortunately, the role-playing becomes reality when Lucky, an unexceptional part-time tour guide, and his guests including Elric, the spoiled, fallen prince of the Knowble Kingdom, unintentionally begin unraveling Heroland's dark history. Now it's up to Lucky, Elric and a ragtag team of tourists-turned-heroes to save Heroland (and the world!).

The game launched for the Switch in Japan on October 2018 after a delay. The game then launched for the PS4 in Japan on February 28.

Takuya Yamanaka (director and original scenario for Caligula) is credited with planning and development for the game. Nobuyuki Inoue (director of Mother 3, Magical Vacation, programmer for Hanjuku Hero: Aa, Sekaiyo Hanjukunare...! ) was in charge of the game's scenario. Nobuhiro Imagawa (art director, worked on Mother 3, Fantasy Life, Kishi to Dragon, Dokodemo Dragon) was in charge of the game's graphics, and Tsukasa Masuko (composer for Mega Force, Shin Megami Tensei series, Bomb Jack, Magical Vacation, Caligula) composed the music.
