Virtual Singer KAF Collaborates With Composer Shigeru Kishida For “Still In Love”

Single Arrives Days Before Artist's Biggest Live Show To Date

Japanese virtual singer KAF has used her “Suite” series of songs as a way to connect disparate eras of art. The collaborative project, launched in 2021, finds KAF working with fellow artists from a wide range of genres and periods. The final installment, “Still In Love,” offers one more bridge connecting Japanese music history with the digital now, as she works with Shigeru Kishida, founding member of influential rock band Quruli and prolific composer on his own.

“Still In Love” ends the Suite series on a sentimental note. Kishida creates a delicate melody out of piano, guitar and a smattering of synthesizers, over which KAF sings a sweet vocal about a connection still blossoming and ongoing. It combines the virtual act's singing prowess with a very-Quruli arrangement, allowing both artists space to showcase their strengths while also playing off of one another to reveal new angles on their respective artistry.

The song, released on January 3, arrives right before KAF puts on her biggest live show to date. KAMITSUBAKI YOYOGI WARS 2024 happens on Sunday, January 14 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, the largest venue the virtual singer has played to date. Fans unable to make it to KAMITSUBAKI YOYOGI WARS 2024 can take part in the show from the comfort of home via a livestream, which can be enjoyed by purchasing a ticket. It's a chance for fans of KAF all over the world to watch this new era of virtual music emerge. Get your ticket here.
