Was Narue Mamiko Noto's first starring role?

I was thinking about the Narue no sekai manga these days as I couldn’t find the first three japanese volumes in my collection which I once had for a few years. Must have sold them or something. Sad to hear that the author passed away at such a young age.
Rest in peace.

So sad, I've watched Narue's anime multiples times and still listen to the OP often to this day (it's going to be hard now with its incredibly nostalgic vibe).

way too young. Pretty amazing they got an anime in their 30s though. I really enjoyed their work

Really can't go wrong with CooRie to fill that nostalgic-urge

I think it might be her first role as a main character. She started doing supporting roles since the year 2000 though.

I always intended to watch the Narue anime myself.

RIP Marukawa-san.

This is just heartbreaking. Gave Narue a quick watch and thought it was pretty good so I bought and read the manga for a few volumes at the time. I didn’t know Marukawa made another series until now and another wammey that he’s was creating a third series. This really sucks and was way too young. I hope they’re in a better place.

That makes me a bit sad to hear. I genuinely liked the anime, and think it would hold up quite well to this day. (In light of how I feel the character types didn't lean too heavily on what was popular character tropes at the time that people would inevitable tire of once that trope ran its course.) I don't recall if the whole manga got an official release -- I don't think it did -- but I do know it's completed, so I kinda wish it would get one.[/quote]
