Overall, these picks are so much more worthy than the Crunchyroll Middling Shonen Awards, it’s great.
Also reminds me of a comment I made when two of ANN’s editors had BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! as their #1 AOTY, and nobody else even had it in their top 5: it sure looks like one of those shows where people either loved it or didn’t watch it at all. There’s a huge contingent of the anime community that won’t even look at anything idol-adjacent, and they missed out big time on this one.

What is this Jury, and why are they trolling? I don't think I could've made a more ill-conceived list of notables even if I hired an entire crew of TikTokkers to advise me. At least the public seems more genuine.

I enjoyed these Awards! It’s nice to see both the jury and public’s rankings, the categories were more comprehensive, and even though not all of my preferred picks made No. 1, they all ranked in spots that I thought were fair.

I think the participants were asked to watch all of the nominees, allegedly, but there's no accounting for taste.

Tbh. These nominations lists looks more diverse than the nominations at the Crunchyroll Awards. There are shows from different streaming plattforms and there are even some gems which received a nod. There are even categories like Best SoL and Suspense. This makes me glad.

It's funny because in the seasonal rankings I do it had the lowest of all anime in spring, with under a 4 average, making it pretty obvious everyone who watched it hated it.

I don't know, I really hated it and from the people in my small circle of friends I'm certainly not the only person who thinks that way. It was just such bad-written drama and felt like drama for the sake of drama and nothing else. And from the short teaser we've already seen for Ave Mujica it looks like the same will continue.
That aside though, I'm okay with the outcome of this voting. I'm not agreeing with everything that was awarded, but I really like the diversity we get here, a lot of different shows and not always the same. Glad to see it's not just another popularity contest, but a popularity contest that also features unpopular stuff.

Haven't heard anything about it. What makes BanG Dream more special than other idol anime?

Tbh, BanG Dream! is not an idol anime. It is a normal music anime series.
